Hi! My name is Shifa, and I’m one of the founders of Youth for Humanity, a student-led organization that brings awareness and support to the number of prevalent issues around the globe.

     We aim to provide youth with the resources they need in making a change, but that's not all. It’s no secret that our generation consists of powerful young adults and youth whose voices are constantly being undermined and suppressed.

     Simply due to our age, students and teens like us are told to not meddle in things we don’t understand and to leave matters to the adults instead. Well, we’ve all seen how that’s worked out. The world around us has started to unravel, and the corruption, suppression, and brutality hidden by its “leaders” have all started coming to light. Consequently, one of the other principal ideals of our organization is to empower and embolden strong-minded teens from around the world, and propel them to make the necessary changes that we need to see, not just in our communities, but throughout the globe.

     The voices and actions of young people are critical because the decisions and policies brought into existence today will directly affect us tomorrow. If we want a future, one where people will live in peace with each other, one where success won’t be based on your skin color, one where no one will be forced to starve or go to sleep whilst fearing for their life, we need to do what we can now to make a change. Youth for Humanity strongly believes in this cause and we promise to do our utmost best to promote it, act on it, and make it a reality.
